Biswa prakash Behera

JNV Cuttack Odisha
I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College

Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I am Biswa Prakash Behera, living in Patanda, a village in Cuttack district. My father, Shri Madhusudan Behera, is a farmer. My mother, Smt. Jharana Behera, is a housewife. My older brother, Partha Pritam Behera, is doing his graduation at Ravenshaw University. My father likes teaching students in his free time.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Dakshana Scholarship is for students who are brilliant but financially challenged and who want to attend a government medical college. I believe I fulfil all the criteria to become a Dakshana scholar and qualify NEET. If I am not selected, I will try my best to clear NEET with a one-year drop.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
As there are no doctors from our village, since childhood I have wanted to become a doctor so that I can spread smiles and get blessings from elders. It is not only my dream but also the dream of my family. I don't want to be a god, but a friend who can treat others and spread happiness.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I want to establish a well-functioning and different system in the future that trains children from an early age. They should be able to choose any field according to their interest, not their parents' interest. I want this system to create many athletes. I also believe children should study business and coding.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There is no such incident in my life that motivated me, except my older brother and father. My father’s hard work and struggle to make me and my brother successful always inspire me. I used to compare myself with my brother in studies because he was the topper of our class. His higher percentage always motivated me to perform better.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies are playing games like Kho-Kho, football, and chess, and reading storybooks. My interests are learning new things, studying, playing games, and taking care of my family members.
