Ayush kumar Naik
JNV Jharsuguda I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My Father works as a clerk under an Advocate. In simpler words as his assistant. The job being irregular has its own challenges. My mother is a housewife, but she works as much as my father, helping him in every possible way. I have a younger brother currently studying in class 7th
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because I perfectly fit in the criteria to become a Dakshana Scholar. The Dakshana Foundation aims to provide standard level education to impoverished, but talented students having potential to achieve something in life. It does so by increasing the potential present within them. I sense a bit of that potential within me. And because of financial instability, I am unable to get professional coaching to crack the nation's toughest Examination, the JEE Advanced. If not given the Dakshana Scholarship, I would have to continue my studies in parent JNV only.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
Presently my first and foremost aim is to uplift my family. After this I keep a slot of my own interests, which is based on a multi-career option. Firstly, I would like to pursue Science or an Engineering branch and become a researcher. Else, I would like to pursue the CSE and become a tech developer or an entrepreneur. I would even like to become an aerospace Engineer, since becoming an Airforce pilot was my childhood dream.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
MY criteria for being successful is fulfilling any of my ambitions alongside getting a positive and satisfactory financial outcome. In any case, i.e. on achieving any of my aims mentioned previously, I would try my best to give the nation and the society something. And I shall try my best to work for the nation's development. At the first I would do so by not migrating to another country and serve as a human resource to the nation. I will do as much as I can by living in India only.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
No such incident has ever occurred in my life, which has instantaneously motivated me to do better. I feel that such incidents only make us realise for an instant and with time we are back on our normal flow. This kind of inspirations are not long-lasting. Instead to perform better in life we need a constant, continuous and consistent source of motivation. And I get these by ordinary happenings and incidences of my life.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to sing sometimes, let it be Hindi, English, Punjabi, or my mother-tongue - Sambalpuri. I also like to compose poems and draw cartoons, but occasionally for my own interest, and not for showing to others. I even maintain a Diary Which I write once in a few days
