Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My family has four members. My father, Mr. Sonelal Shende, is the main member of my family. He is an extrovert and has great communication skills. My mother, Mrs. Keerti Shende, is a homemaker and a great inspiration to me. She is the strongest person I have ever seen in my life. I have learned a lot of things from my parents, such as sacrifice, adjustment, patience, and faith in God. I have a younger sister, Esha Shende, who is an introvert and close to me. She is more talented than me. My sweet grandmother mostly lives with my uncle (Chachaji), who stays in another village for employment.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Dakshana is a platform for students who want to serve the nation with knowledge and skills but are financially weak. I think I am well suited for Dakshana. It has been my dream since 7th standard. If not selected, I would take an online NEET course and try my best this year.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My first ambition is to become a doctor. My main goal is to become an example of success like Mr. Mohnish Pabrai. I want to serve the nation with my full potential.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I will contribute to society by supporting NGOs like Dakshana and schools like Navodaya, so that we can see a more educated society in the future. After becoming a successful doctor, I will serve people with my skills and spread awareness about health.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
I have seen my parents struggling most of their life just to give a better life to me and my sister. They sacrificed their own dreams just to make ours come true. So I want to put all my efforts into making their dreams come true through me.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I am interested in knowing and exploring the wonders of nature, which is why I study Biology. I also love to sing and dance, and I perform on stage even though I have stage fear.
