Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
Hello Dakshana, I am Aastha Raj, second child of my parent. My family is a middle class family. My father is a farmer who works hard in fields to earn our livelihood. My mother is a housewife and stays in home. I have one elder sister and one younger brother. My sister is a student of M. Com. and studies at IIM Rohtak. My brother is in 6th standard and studies in a local school of our village. My two uncles are also farmers.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because of my talent. In fact, I need it because my financial conditions are not much better. I know the importance of good quality education , that's why if I would not be selected for Dakshana, I would join Allen coaching institute by taking loan. Loans can be further paid but education not. And fortunately my parents also support my vision.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition is to become an astronaut. I am so excited about it since I was in 3rd standard. And from then, I continuously worked hard to achieve my goal.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I would benefit India and rest of the world in the field of space science technologies when I will become successful. My researches will benefit the society in the upcoming years. It may take a bit longer time but one day I with my future colleagues will discover a safe and pollution free environment for all the earth species.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
The best motivation in my life is of course my parents. The worst time we passed away due to lack of basic needs. Simply say, it runs in my blood even now, keeps me motivated. My earlier conditions in my life inspires and keeps me dedicated. To change the life of all those needy persons as well as speechless animals , I have to gain power. And that power I can only get through the key called 'EDUCATION'. That's all.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to do dance, especially classical, singing and reading Hindi novels. I like observing things that happens around me and try to collect information from my own observations.
