Megha Chemen
JNV Upper Subansiri Arunachal Pradesh I'd like to become a Dakshana Scholar and hopefully attend Medical College
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father is an intelligent and hardworking farmer, and my mother is a housewife who supports him in his work. We are three siblings—my elder brother, Rahul Chemen; me; and my younger brother, Metum Chemen. They are studying in second year college and class 9 respectively. We like playing together and keeping harmony at home. We all live happily.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because I have completed all three stages to get here. I believe Dakshana will be a gateway to my bright future, and this scholarship is a saviour that will guide me toward my goal. If I were not selected, I would not be able to study further because good education is very expensive nowadays, and my family is extremely poor.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My aim in life is to become a successful doctor—not just to earn money, but to serve the nation with my ability and potential. Doctors have the power to save someone’s life. By saving one life, we can save many more together. I want to do something especially for kids and old people. I want to develop a better medical system in rural areas. All I want to do is uplift poor people in every field.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I will develop a new system for poor people in different fields like medical, education, and jobs.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There is an incident related to my father from my childhood. I don’t remember it clearly, but I still remember his words: “Unless you get hurt, you never learn.” His words continue to motivate me.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My interests and hobbies are playing instruments like piano, banjo, guitar, etc.
