Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
I live in a small village with my family. My father is a farmer and my mother is a housewife. I have three sisters—two elder sisters who are preparing for competitive exams, and one younger sister who is studying in class 9. My parents are very hardworking. They always try their best to raise us well and support us to become better in life. We own a very small piece of land, but my father manages it properly and never makes us feel deprived. Whatever I am today or will become in the future will be because of my family.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I belong to a poor family. I am deprived of all privileges. I cannot afford world-class coaching facilities, but I am a very talented student. I can make a big difference in society, and I am sure that I am eligible for this scholarship. If I am not selected, I will look at my mistakes and work on them to become a better person and successful in life.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to become a successful person who is able to help poor and needy people. I want to give back to society, to my parents, and to my teachers who always try to lift me up in every situation. I want to make my parents feel proud that I am their daughter. Living in a male-dominated patriarchal society where many people do not want daughters, my parents never felt that way. My father always supports me to do better in life. That’s why I want to become the best daughter for him.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I will help impoverished children who are talented and want to study but are unable to because of financial problems. I will help needy people in one way or another who live in slum areas and don’t get basic needs. I will try to take them out of their economic conditions and make their lives better. I will open many NGOs for orphaned children, old-age people, and needy persons to give them shelter and provide better education facilities. I will try to make people’s lives better and give them a chance to show their abilities.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There are many incidents in my life that inspired me. But my biggest motivation is my family, who supports me in every situation, whether favorable or not. They never give up and always try to find positivity in everything. I learned a lot from my parents, who worked very hard to raise us. They never get tired and always remain energetic. Their efforts and strength are the biggest reasons for my motivation.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to do colour painting, sketching, and portrait making. Painting with colours is a way to express my feelings and emotions. My paintings have deep meanings that reflect the messiness of my mind. I feel I could carve my future with my painting brush. I also like reading novels.
