The people who make my house a home include my father, Mr. Mahendra Kourav, who works very hard to fulfil all our needs. My mother, Mrs. Krishna Kourav, nurtures our family with love and respect; she has made me a humble person. My biggest support system is my elder brother, Mr. Anshul Kourav, who is pursuing a B.A degree. Other members include my grandmother and my uncles. We are a happy family of 9 living smoothly with the flow of life.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Talent should be given a chance. I am very passionate about my dream of becoming a successful and great doctor. To achieve this goal, I need financial support and a push that helps me reach my dream. As much as I know, this institute will definitely enhance my abilities and play a huge role in my success. If I am not selected for this scholarship, I will continue my studies online and chase my dream with full determination and willpower.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
Doctors are like living gods, and this is the exact goal I am trying to achieve. I want to be a known and talented doctor. Saving lives is something only a doctor can do. I want to live a life full of adventure in the medical field, saving people and serving for their well-being. All I need is the white coat on my back and a stethoscope around my neck.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become a successful doctor, I will serve for the betterment of society. I will work to improve the quality and availability of medical services, especially for needy people. I will try to visit many countries to learn about their medical equipment and practices. I will definitely enhance the level of trust and empathy between doctor and patient and ensure that every patient of mine gets the treatment they deserve.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
Inspiration is just like a spark needed to lighten up one's future and ambition. There is an incident when I was with my father at a hospital where my father was to be operated for his spine. There I came across a great doctor named Dr. Manoj Nagar, who was a great surgeon and neurologist. When I saw him, it was like something had stunned me. I was so excited seeing him. Then I got a chance to converse with him, and it felt immense pleasure. First time in my life I met a man who was so humble and down to earth, and that was the moment when I decided to be a great doctor like him.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My hobbies include reading fantasy stories and novels, watching adventurous web series, dancing, singing, and painting. I love listening to soft and slow music. The most precious thing is traveling and exploring.
