My father's name is Basanta Kumar Sahoo. His profession is tailoring and farming. He likes to do paintings. My mother's name is Anjali Sahoo. She is a housewife. She loves to cook and sing songs. My brother's name is Braja Sekhar Sahoo. He is studying now. He likes to solve puzzles and research about plants. My uncle's name is Akhshay Kumar Sahoo. He is a driver for public calls. Thank you.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because I can give my best in this year’s NEET 2026 preparation. If I am not selected as a scholar, I will study through YouTube lectures. My father is struggling to pay coaching fees of 2–3 lakh per year, so Dakshana is the best option for me. I will work hard to get a seat at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Thank you.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
As per my understanding, heart problems are increasing day by day. So I want to be a cardiac surgeon and help the world overcome this issue.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful, I will give all my efforts to improving the health conditions of India. I believe there should be more opportunities in rural areas in education and healthcare. The gap between rural and urban areas should be reduced.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There is no such incident, but looking at today’s world, heart diseases are more common than the common cold. This is a major concern. So I want to contribute to solving this issue. Thank you.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like solving math problems and gaining more knowledge about human anatomy. My hobbies are singing, listening to songs and podcasts, watching science-fiction movies like Interstellar, and reading books like encyclopedias.
