Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father’s name is Manoj Kumar Mahto. He is a farmer. He likes doing morning exercise every day and is very fit. He is the pillar who supports our family. My mother’s name is Meena Devi. She takes care of the home and likes talking to relatives. She helps my father in his work for proper functioning of everything. My sister’s name is Anu Kumari. She is in class 10 and likes playing games with other children in our locality. My uncle is currently preparing for government exams.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I belong to a weak family background, but I have the aspiration to become successful in my life, and the only way to do so is through education. I think I deserve the Dakshana Scholarship through which I can get a good college. If I am not selected, I will study this year with more sincerity and hard work to get a good college (IIT).
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to be a good man. I want to become a good engineer so that I can uplift my family income and give my family a good standard of living. I want to achieve high values to make my parents proud.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I will help families who do not have the minimum requirements to support their child’s education. I will spread awareness about how important education is. I will guide youngsters to choose the right direction in life so they can support their families. I would also encourage students to learn values. My motivation is: “Come to learn, go to serve.”
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
My family’s support and hard work always inspire me to keep doing my work in every condition so that I can do better in my life. Their efforts and sacrifices are the reason I am capable of doing so much hard work to achieve my goal.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to play outdoor sports, especially cricket and badminton. I like to exercise to stay fit. I like listening to music. I have enthusiasm to know about geopolitics.
