Piyush Gharde
JNV Balaghat Madhya Pradesh I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT
Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My family is a nuclear one, and we have only 4 members. My father is a daily wage labourer, and he is the visionary who gave me confidence to study and dream of a happy life. My mother is a homemaker and my full-time emotional supporter; she made me mentally strong and prepared me for tough times. My younger sister brings happiness and a sense of responsibility into my life. She is currently studying in Navodaya Vidyalaya of our district.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I should get the scholarship because my vision is to become a person educated enough that no one can ignore my influence. I want to guide my community in the right direction because many people still do not understand the importance of education. Opportunities in the outside world are still out of reach for many in my community. I will achieve my passion in science, and I already know the path through which I want to serve my community. If I do not get selected, I will still follow that path on my own.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to be a good person in my life. I want to have a very healthy relationship with everyone in my community. I want to do something for which my family, friends, teachers, and community feel proud. I want to be a proud citizen of the nation and a role model for future space scientists. Life’s ambition isn’t just about getting into a college or earning money—it is about finding new ways to do something meaningful for the people around you. It is about living a visionary life.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
First, I will contribute to my local people who are not aware of opportunities outside their households. The biggest problem of our society is the mediocre mindset, which causes social, economic, cultural, and political weaknesses. People use resources but don't know how to use them smartly. So, my friends and I have decided to visit remote regions where people are still unaware of the outside world.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
This year, when I was preparing for JEE Advanced 2025, I focused only on theory and didn’t practice enough questions. I became overconfident. But the paper pattern was tougher than expected, and I realized I needed a lot of practice. Since then, my biggest fear has been overconfidence.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
My interests are multidimensional. I love science, music (singing), dancing, poetry, writing stories and essays in English, helping others, reading books, playing guitar and being in the rain. It removes my stress instantly. I love making people happy.
