Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My name is Ishant Olivkar. My father's name is Nandkishor Olivkar and he does not have a permanent job. He works in others' fields as a wage labourer. He is 12th pass and loves watching cricket and news. My mother’s name is Alka Nandkishor Olivkar. She is a housewife and also goes to the farm when she gets time. She loves cooking and keeps working hard. My brother’s name is Sarthak Olivkar. He is completing his BSc degree in Jalgaon and loves playing games and travelling.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I have been awarded the Dakshana Scholarship because I gave the entrance exam and interview. After checking my abilities, knowledge, IQ, family background, income conditions, and overall situation, they selected me as a scholar. If they had not selected me, I would not have been upset; instead, I would have motivated myself, taken it as a challenge, and studied harder to get 100% selection next time.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
First of all, my goal in life is to live a happy and comfortable life with my family. I want to give everything I can to them and always make them happy. I also want to get selected in the best IIT and get a good degree, then get a good job to fulfill my dreams. After that, I want to prepare for the IES exam to serve the nation.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
At first, I would like to get selected in the best college and receive the best degree, then get a comfortable and good job. After that, I will prepare for UPSC and try to get a Class 1 job. Then I will serve the nation as much as possible, listen to every problem in society, find the best possible solutions, and provide jobs to jobless people.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There are many incidents in my life which motivated me, but the most special one is when I checked my JEE Main result. I felt upset, blamed myself, got stressed and depressed. Then my parents came to me, motivated me, and explained that this is not a life-deciding moment. They told me there will be more chances and opportunities, and that they know my potential. Their support motivated me.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
Although I make everything interesting, I love to travel and explore nature and peace. My hobbies are watching cricket, playing cricket, volleyball and basketball, and spending time with family.
