Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My name is Spandan Bhimkumar Barsagade. My mother's name is Shubhangi Barsagade, and my father's name is Bhimkumar Barsagade. My father is an auto-rickshaw driver, and my mother is a housewife. They both were unable to take education due to their financial problems. My parents are very kind and respect my decisions. Apart from this, my connection with my family is very good, and I don't have any siblings.
Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
I shall be awarded the Dakshana scholarship as I am capable of it and have given my best to crack the Dakshana exam. In class 10th, I have always chosen PCM as my first priority to crack the Dakshana exam. I heard about it for the first time in Bundi, Rajasthan, when I went there for migration. I was really motivated by the Dakshana scholars of Bundi at that time. The whole year, I made my first priority Dakshana for my main goal, IIT.
Q3. What is your ambition in life?
I want to become an engineer and do my best in the technology field. I want to make a new AI that would be the most advanced in the future generation, which would act as a partner and help in every aspect.
Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
When I become successful in my life, in my 60s, I will set up an institute where I will keep orphans, most probably small children. Firstly, they will be taught basic manners and understanding and educated only in the field in which they are interested and talented. After being successful and honored, they will contribute the same to this institute, which they have gained in their childhood. This would be the most effective way to develop the nation in every aspect.
Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
There is not any one moment that made me inspired but a series of moments. I have seen the culture of IIT on social media. During their B.Tech journey, despite struggles, they enjoy a lot. Asia's best fests take place there. People do things in which they are interested. I have seen many YouTubers and many IITians who also went for international programs in countries like Japan, China, and the U.K. This type of vast culture made me so inspired about IIT.
Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I like to listen to music, write fictional stories, and learn about technology.
