Q1. Introduce your Family to us ?
My father's name is Nicholas Basumatary. He is a very hard working farmer. My father, with the help of my mother Albina Basumatary take cares of the family. My mother is housewife.I have an elder sister Deepti Basumatary who is currently doing her degree in Botany honours.I also have a younger brother who is currently studying in 11Th standard.

Q2. Why should you be awarded the Dakshana Scholarship?
Dakshana is a very good platform to learn to learn new things. The teachers are very dedicated to teach the students and make us achieve our goals. If I am not selected in Dakshana then I will try my own best to achieve my goals.

Q3. What is your ambition in life?
My ambition in life is to become a successful person. I would like to become a doctor and help my country.

Q4. How would you like to contribute to the society and the world when you become a successful?
I would like to help the poor and children of the orphanage. i woud like to do my best to help the society in every way I can.

Q5. Describe an incident in your life that has motivated/inspired you to do better
In 10th standard I got very less marks in my first periodic examination. So I was scared if I could do better or not. But then our Mathematics teacher Sir Devendra Kumar helped me a lot. He motivated me very much and I got inspired to do better.

Q6. Tell us about your interests and hobbies?
I love reading novels and comic books. And I also like mobile games and other outdoor games.
