I'd like to become a Dakshana scholar and hopefully attend IIT because from the start of my 10th grade I dreamed to become an IIT scholar for this country. The Dakshana foundation is coaching improvised students who aspire to attend the Indian Institute of Technology. It is a world class IIT-JEE coaching institute and provides comprehensive scholarships for gifted students.
I came to know about the Dakshana foundation from my school. I wrote the screening test conducted by Dakshana on August 12, 2007. The test was slightly difficult and there was negative marking. At first I solved the known and sure questions. Then I moved to the questions that I left unattended because the time allowed for the test was only two hours and the weight age of the question was higher. I managed my time conveniently. For some of the questions, we had to spend time they were tricky and confusing and required further application. On the whole question paper, I felt physics was somewhat difficult as compared to the other sections. I had 50% confidence that I could get through the exam. As you all know, time is not in our hands. If luck is with you then the world will be yours. Luck was with me and I passed the test and was ed for the coaching program. When I heard that I was ed for IIT-JEE coaching given by Dakshana Foundation, I was very happy and my parents were happy too. Now I feel very proud of my work and can prepare for the IIT exam. As all of you know, the IIT-JEE is the toughest exam and one has to put his whole efforts to get through it. Once you pass the exam then your life will be anything you can make of it. I want to be a scholar from IIT and make my parents proud of me. I want India to be a developed country by the young children of today, because Dakshana foundation believes the beneficiary of today is the donor of tomorrow. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam has said that India will be one of the developed countries by 2010. My wish and aim is that why can?t we make our country develop before 2010. I promise you that I will work hard and harder and bring name and famer to my parents, my school and my country.
